The truth about the timeline
Laser doesn't remove hair in a single session. It has to catch the follicle in its growth phase, and every area of the body has its own cycle. That's why you need 6-8 sessions spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, depending on the area, until the hair weakens and either disappears or ends up very fine.
That means 6 to 10 months of treatment. If you start in June, by August you'll have done 2 sessions. Will you notice it? Yes: less hair, finer hair, slower regrowth. Will you be hair-free forever? For next summer.
What is worth doing: starting now, even if it's June. The first session already eliminates between 10% and 25% of the follicles in the active phase. That's 2-3 months of less shaving. And you've started the clock to arrive 100% ready for summer 2027.
The sun and laser don't get along
This is the only non-negotiable. Laser works on melanin. If your skin is tanned, the laser can't clearly tell hair and skin apart and the risk of burns or dark spots goes up. That's why:
- 15 days before and 15 days after each session: no direct sun.
- SPF 50+ at all times during the whole treatment.
- No self-tanners or tanning beds during treatment.
- If you come in freshly tanned, we'll have to postpone.
That's why the ideal window to start is October to February. You can start in summer, but you'll need to be disciplined with sun protection.
The top areas for summer (and their prices)
| Area | Price |
|---|---|
| Underarms | €20 |
| Bikini line | €20 |
| Full Brazilian | €35 |
| Full Brazilian with perianal | €40 |
| Half legs | €35 |
| Full legs | €70 |
| Full body | €150 |
The most requested summer combos are underarms + bikini + half legs (€75/session) or full body straight away (€150/session, much better value).
The realistic plan if you start now
If you start in June, here's what we'll see:
- June: 1st session. Skin slightly red for 1-2 hours (normal). Hair falls out in 7-14 days.
- July (4 weeks later): already less density. Session 2.
- August-September: break because of strong sun (unless you can control exposure very carefully).
- October-March: sessions 3 to 7 every 6-8 weeks.
- Summer 2027: genuinely smooth skin. Plus maintenance sessions 1-2 times a year if needed.
Heads-up if you have very dark skin or blonde/grey hair: the diode laser works well with most skin phototypes up to IV-V, and worse with very light hair (not enough melanin). At your first assessment I'll confirm it honestly before you pay anything.
