In the treatment room we work on skin from the outside: we hydrate it, stimulate collagen with HIFU, drain toxins with pressotherapy, regenerate with Dermapen. But there's a part external treatment alone cannot reach — what happens inside the body. That's why we've opened a small herbal-shop section at Esencia Estética. It isn't a shop; it's a carefully selected toolkit of natural products to support what we do in the room. Here's why, what we stock and how we use it — 25 min from central Madrid.
Why a beauty centre sells supplements
Serious aesthetics in Europe has embraced this approach for years: when what we apply to the skin is combined with what you take from within, results multiply. It isn't opinion, it's basic chemistry. The collagen we stimulate with HIFU needs amino acids to build. The skin we clean with a peel needs antioxidants to heal. The body we drain in a pressotherapy session performs better if the liver is decongested.
In Spain this isn't yet the norm. But we see more and more clients asking: "Is there anything I can take to help this work better?" And the answer is almost always yes. The problem is that traditional herbal shops sell the same thing to everyone without knowing which treatment you're doing. That's why it makes sense for a beauty centre with judgment to recommend it: because we know what you needed in the room.
Esencia philosophy: only BIO products, from serious laboratories (HerbalGem in Belgium and Prisma Natural in Spain), that I've tested on myself, on my clients and whose exact composition I know. If a supplement doesn't add anything to your case, I'll say so. We don't sell for the sake of selling.
The 3 products we stock now
We're starting with a deliberately small catalogue. We'll add products as we detect real needs with you. These are the current ones:
Gemmocaps Menopause BIO
Detox Express Monodose BIO
Collagen Plus Rejuven Age
1. Collagen Plus Rejuven Age + your facial treatment
Prisma Natural's hydrolysed collagen powder is designed to accompany exactly what we do with HIFU, Dermapen and facial mesotherapy. Those treatments signal your body to build new collagen. But if your body doesn't have the amino acids it needs to build it, results stop halfway.
Think of it as construction work: HIFU is the architect ordering new pillars. Oral collagen is the bag of cement. Without cement, the site stays on paper.
- When to start: ideally one week before your first HIFU/Dermapen session and keep going for the whole cycle (8–12 weeks).
- How to take it: one scoop a day dissolved in water, juice or your morning coffee. Neutral taste.
- Format: 300 g of powder, gluten-free and lactose-free.
2. Detox Express + your drainage or pressotherapy
This is one of those products with a lovely phytotherapy logic. It's gemmotherapy: it works with fresh tree buds (birch, rosemary, elm, chestnut, heather) rather than adult plants. The bud is the plant concentrated at its peak energy, before "differentiating" into leaf, flower or trunk. That gives it a therapeutic profile different from a normal tea or infusion.
What is it for? Decongesting the organs the body uses to eliminate: mainly liver and kidneys. When we do lymphatic drainage or an intense pressotherapy session, we mobilise toxins trapped in subcutaneous tissue. But those toxins actually have to leave the body — and that's where Detox Express helps.
- When: 7-day courses, ideally when you start a body protocol or after a period of heavier eating and drinking (Christmas, holidays).
- How: one monodose on an empty stomach each morning for a week.
- Key tip: drink LOTS of water during those 7 days. Without water, the detox doesn't work.
Typical case: a client comes in feeling puffy with dull skin at the change of season. We do drainage + pressotherapy in the room and give her Detox Express for the next 7 days. After 10 days it isn't only that she feels less bloated — her facial skin has a different light.
3. Gemmocaps Menopause + nourishing facials
Menopause and perimenopause bring a sharp drop in oestrogens that directly affects the skin: it loses collagen, dries out, becomes thinner and more reactive. More hot flushes at night mean less sleep, and less sleep means poorer cellular regeneration.
Gemmocaps Menopause works on the symptoms — reduces hot flushes and night sweats, improves energy, helps sleep — and that indirectly improves how your skin responds to facial treatments. It's a combination of gemmotherapy (bilberry, blackcurrant, hawthorn) with red clover, all in vegetal capsule form, BIO and alcohol-free.
- When: as soon as you start noticing symptoms. You don't need to wait for menopause to be "installed."
- How: one capsule in the morning with a glass of water.
- Pairs perfectly with: intensive nourishing facials (exosomes, Hydradelux, revitalising mesotherapy).
Detox Express: gemmotherapy works with fresh buds, not adult plants. Different phytotherapy from a tea or infusion.

Who should NOT take herbal products
I'm putting this section prominently on purpose, because it matters to me more than any other:
We do NOT recommend herbal products in these cases:
· Pregnancy or breastfeeding (always consult your midwife or obstetrician).
· Under 18s (except Detox Express, authorised from age 12 and only under supervision).
· Personal or family history of breast cancer (especially Gemmocaps Menopause, due to red clover).
· Anyone on active medical treatment (oncology, anticoagulants, hypothyroidism). Your doctor decides, not us.
· Heart failure or renal oedema.
· Known allergies to any component (always check the label).
Phytotherapy is powerful. "Natural" doesn't mean harmless. If you take medication, first ask your GP whether you can add a supplement. And in the room, tell us your situation before we recommend anything.
How we'll recommend it (and how we won't)
My commitment, no small print:
- Only if it makes sense for your case. If you come for a manicure, I won't mention collagen. If you're on your fourth HIFU session and ask how to speed results, then yes.
- Only if it won't harm you. First question is always: "are you on any medication?" or "in any active treatment?" If the answer complicates it, we don't recommend it.
- No pressure. I explain the logic, show the product and you decide. Many clients come, do their treatment and never buy a supplement. Perfect. The room is the room.
- With follow-up. If you take it, at the next session we ask how it went, whether you noticed anything or had any issue. Phytotherapy is alive — it adjusts.
Hydrolysed collagen powder: the ideal companion to HIFU, Dermapen or facial mesotherapy.
To finish
The herbal shop is just one more piece of the work we do at Esencia Estética. A small piece at the start that we'll grow step by step, listening to what you tell us in the room. If you have questions about which product fits your case, message us on WhatsApp or drop by the centre and we'll look at it together. The consultation is free and, as always, no obligation.
Tell us which treatment you're doing (or want to start) and we'll say honestly whether adding something from the herbal shop makes sense or your plan is already fine as it is. No pressure, no hard sell.
