You've got engaged (or someone close has), the dress is chosen, the venue booked and now the inevitable question: "what should I do to arrive at my best on the day?" The answer depends above all on how much time you have. Here's the real, honest calendar of what actually works and when to start each thing. No last-minute treatments, no marathon sessions. Real planning — from a wedding beauty prep salon near Madrid, 25 min from central Madrid.

The golden rule: the 6 months before are decisive

If you have 6 months or more, there's plenty of time for a full plan with visible results. Between 3 and 6 months, you can achieve a lot with clear priorities. Less than 3 months? Forget miracles and focus on what actually works quickly (which is less than Instagram would have you believe).

The worst decision possible: trying a new treatment in the 3 weeks before the wedding. If your skin reacts badly (and it can, even if you've never had issues), you'll arrive at the big day with redness, flaking or new spots. Anything new is tried with at least 6 weeks of margin.

Calendar 6 months before

This is the time to start the treatments that need time to work: those that build structure (collagen, firmness, jawline) and those that treat deep marks or dark spots.

Month 6 to 5 before the wedding
1
Complete skin assessment
Diagnosis: what worries you, skin type, priorities to set. Without this step, everything else is blind.
2
Start dark-spot treatment (if applicable)
Established dark spots need 4–6 months to fade. Now is the moment if you want to arrive with even skin tone.
3
Start body treatment (if applicable)
Anti-cellulite, slimming or firming: all require a minimum of 8–10 sessions. Starting now brings real change by the day.
4
First HIFU or radiofrequency session (if firming)
Collagen takes 8–12 weeks to regenerate after a HIFU session. Starting now guarantees visible result on the wedding day.
5
Laser hair removal: the ideal moment
You need 4–6 sessions for a definitive result. Six months is the minimum for clean skin on the day.

Calendar 4–3 months before

Maintenance phase for what you've started + adding treatments that work on luminosity and texture:

Calendar 2 months before

The home stretch. Time for the intensive phase — treatments that deliver quickly but need proper spacing:

Weekly Kobido session
4 sessions. Tones facial muscle, redefines the jawline and brings natural glow from session one.
Body pressotherapy
Weekly sessions to drain water retention. You'll feel legs and body noticeably lighter.
Intensive facial hydration
Every 15 days a deep hydration session. Skin needs to be at maximum water content to reflect light.
Progressive mani and pedi
Now we start taking care of hands and feet: nail shape, hydration, tone.

Calendar 1 month before

This month is sacred: try NOTHING new. Not creams, not treatments, not techniques. If something has been working, keep at it. If not, leave it.

The final 4 weeks
1
Week 4 (1 month out): final peel or Dermapen
Last strong session. From here everything softens so skin arrives calm and luminous.
2
Week 3: Kobido + hydration
Facial toning and hydrating actives. No aggression, all care.
3
Week 2: full lymphatic drainage
Facial and body drainage to reduce puffiness, improve circulation and refine the contour.
4
Week 1: Hydrafacial + final Kobido
Deep cleanse without aggression, maximum hydration and muscle toning. Skin arrives ready.
5
48 hours before: express facial drainage
Reduces day-before puffiness. Final mani and pedi. Light cleansing and nothing more.

The week of the wedding: DO and DON'T

No room for experiments. This week is pure maintenance. Common mistakes I've seen and to avoid:

DO NOT do this week:

DO this week:

The most beautiful day isn't built in the final week — it's built in the 6 months before. The more you plan ahead, the calmer and more radiant you arrive.

Care for the groom (who also gets married)

The focus is usually on the bride, but more grooms are coming in to look after themselves. For them the plan is simpler but still benefits from timing:
