What FHOS Bioluminescent is and why it is different
FHOS is a protocol developed by DRV / Ramason that combines two things most light-based treatments do not bring together: a skincare range with encapsulated nanomolecules (the actives sit inside microscopic capsules designed to react to a very specific wavelength of light) and a device called Procyon that emits that light. The clever bit is that neither works fully on its own: the light "opens" the capsules in the skincare and carries them into the deeper layers of the skin.
In cabin terms: we apply the skincare, pass the Procyon for 15 minutes and the skin absorbs actives it would not reach with an ordinary cream. Results are visible from the first session — radiance, firmness, texture — and consolidate with a 4- to 8-week protocol. Multiply your results by ten in just 15 minutes.
Atermic light explained simply
The word "atermic" is the key to the whole differentiator. It means it does not add heat to the skin. That is why FHOS can be done in spring, in summer and on tanned skin, when most other light-based treatments cannot.
A simple analogy: the sun warms us because part of its radiation is infrared (thermal). A conventional laser or an IPL are also thermal: part of their energy turns into heat on the skin, which is why treatment calendars usually start in September and finish in April, with skin free of tan and later sun exposure. FHOS works in specific wavelengths chosen to activate the skincare, not to heat. It is light that does its job without raising tissue temperature. No needles, no pain, no bruising, no downtime.
FHOS vs. IPL vs. conventional LED vs. laser: where they overlap and where they don't

Bottom line: FHOS is the closest thing to a "next-generation" LED designed to work in symbiosis with a specific skincare range. Its big competitive edge over IPL and laser is that no one has to be turned away from the cabin for being tanned.
What we plan to use it for at Esencia Estética
When we bring in a new technology, the first thing we decide is in which specific cases it truly adds value for the client. These are the ones we have identified even before the machine arrives:
- Sun spots in September and October. Just when other aggressive depigmenting treatments cannot go in, FHOS can. It combines well with the September dark-spot protocol.
- Photorejuvenation and radiance before an event or a trip: 15 minutes and you leave with visibly better skin.
