Every time someone asks me which is the most powerful treatment we offer at Esencia Estética, my answer is the same: HIFU 7D. Not because it's the most expensive or the most sophisticated-looking, but because it's the only one that works in the layers where loss of firmness actually starts. And that changes everything. Come and see for yourself, 25 minutes from central Madrid.

What is HIFU and why is it different from everything else?

HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. What it does is concentrate ultrasound energy on a precise point of the tissue, producing focused heat of between 60 and 70 degrees in that specific area.

That heat produces something no cream, no serum and no massage can achieve: a controlled thermal micro-injury in the deep layers of the skin that triggers the body's natural repair response. The body detects the tiny damage and starts producing new collagen to fix it — collagen type I and III, the same collagen you lose with age.

The key difference with other treatments: most facial treatments act on the epidermis or the superficial dermis. HIFU reaches the SMAS — the superficial musculo-aponeurotic layer — the exact same layer surgeons treat during a surgical facelift. No scalpel, no anaesthetic, no downtime.

The 7 depths of HIFU 7D

The 7D version we use at Esencia Estética works across up to 7 different depths, which lets us personalise the treatment for each area of the face and neck.

1.5 mm
Epidermis
Improved surface texture and pores. Immediate luminosity effect.
3.0 mm
Mid dermis
Fibroblast stimulation and dermal collagen production.
4.5 mm
SMAS
The surgical-lift layer. Firming and redefinition of the facial oval.

This ability to work at different depths within the same session is what makes HIFU 7D significantly more complete than earlier versions. We treat every layer, not just one.

HIFU application on the facial contour and jawline

What results can you expect, and when?

Here I need to be honest, because HIFU is not a treatment with spectacular immediate results — that would be misleading advertising. The process of neocollagenesis (new collagen formation) takes time:

Natural lifting effect
Redefines the facial oval and jawline without the "stretched" look of surgery.
Double chin improvement
One of the areas that responds best to HIFU. Visible reduction in 2–3 sessions.
Fewer lines
Nasolabial folds, neck wrinkles and expression lines improve progressively.
Firmer, denser skin
The new collagen adds density to the skin, which feels firmer to the touch.
No recovery time
You can carry on with your day right away. There may be light redness that fades within hours.
Progressive, natural result
Changes are gradual. Nobody notices you've "had something done" — they just see you looking better.
HIFU is the treatment I recommend when someone tells me they don't want to go under the knife but they do want real results. It isn't magic — but it's the closest thing to a facelift that exists without surgery.

What a session at Esencia Estética looks like

HIFU 7D session — 60 to 75 minutes
1
Cleansing and skin assessment
We remove every trace of cosmetics. We assess the state of the skin, the areas of greatest laxity and design a personalised treatment map.
2
Application of conductive gel
The gel allows the ultrasound to penetrate without resistance and protects the surface of the skin during the application.
3
Handpiece pass by zones
We work systematically: forehead, temples, cheekbones, cheeks, jawline, double-chin area and neck. Each zone gets the right depth. You feel a pin-point heat and a slight discomfort with each pulse — the sign the energy is reaching where it needs to.
4
Calming mask and SPF
We finish with a repairing, antiseptic mask followed by high-factor sunscreen. The skin is sensitive for the first few hours.

Who is HIFU for?

HIFU is ideal for women (and men) from 30–35 onwards who are starting to notice loss of firmness, the appearance of a double chin, a less-defined facial oval or the first marked expression lines. It's also an excellent choice as preventive maintenance before laxity becomes advanced.

On very mature skin or with severe laxity, HIFU is still effective, although results may be more modest. In those cases we combine it with other treatments to maximise the outcome.

My personal recommendation: to get the most out of HIFU, combine it with Dermapen + mesotherapy in the following weeks. HIFU works at depth; Dermapen optimises the surface. Together they cover every layer of the skin and the result is noticeably better than either one on its own.

Contraindications: pregnancy and breastfeeding, metal implants in the area to be treated, pacemaker, active herpes in the area, recent treatment with botulinum toxin (wait at least 3 weeks) and active autoimmune diseases. If in doubt, message me before booking.
